Succession Planning

Unexpectedly, we were approached by a Managing Partner of a small property practice (Residential & Commercial), that had been referred to us via a mutual connection working in a Top Tier firm in the regions.  

The Managing Partner was approaching retirement, had no succession plans in place and was concerned about the cost of run off cover and really did not want to renew his PII, which was due in the next six months.

Due to our extensive contacts in the marketplace, we were able to find a highly suitable home for his practice in a short time frame. The acquiring firm was also able to offer employment to his support staff, which was not something he was expecting at the start of the process.

Within two years the Managing Partner was able to retire, and the acquiring firm reported to be delighted with how his client base had grown with a larger platform in place.
